Offsite (or cloud) backup is a method of backing up data, where it is collected, encrypted, replicated and transmitted for storage offsite. It's the best defense against software corruption, hard drive crashes, computer virsues, natural disasters and human error.
SECURE, RELIABLE AND PROVEN DATA PROTECTION
SECURE: We use state of the art file servers in two SSAE-16 certified redundant data centers. In the unlikely event one center goes offline, the other takes over. The data centers are secured with biometric controlled access, 24/7 monitoring, backup generators and redundant internet connections.
MILITARY GRADE: Files are secured beyond the 128-bit encryption methods typically used for online banking. AES 256-bit encryption is used in addition to SSL technology when communicating with our servers resulting in data being encrypted both in transit and at rest at data centers.
BLOCK-LEVEL BACKUP: Once a file has been saved successfully, our software backs up only the changes thereafter. Backups are performed automatically and files in use are able to be backed up as well. We can backup files, folders, Exchange, SQL - pretty much any data that is critical to your business. It is the proactive approach to managing your IT infrastructure to improve efficiency, workflow and alleviate unexpected downtime.
FLEXIBILITY: Backups can be set to run any user defined time, on any user defined frequency. Store unlimited number of versions of the same file so there's no fear of accidental deletions or overwriting a file.
COMPLIANCY: Our software ensures compliancy with strict industry and government data protection standards around encryption including HIPAA, FINRA and PCI.
This is a backup process that creates a copy of the operating system and all the data associated with it including the system state and application configurations. The backup is saved as a single file which is called an image. Because image level backups use snapshots, all of the data including deleted stray files and empty disk blocks are backed up too. These types of backups are not sent to the cloud, but stay at your location. They are used in the backup and disaster recovery process and are vital in recovering from ransomware or other type viruses.
